TCGplayer API alternatives for sellers

TCGplayer's developer page says it is no longer granting new API access. Five ways to still get your own listings and orders out of TCGplayer.

Where TCGplayer's API stands

The TCGplayer developer docs say: "We are no longer granting new API access at this time." Checked Oct 25, 2026.

The page has no date, and we found no dated announcement. It still describes how existing users get an access token. For how repricing tools cope, see how repricing tools talk to TCGplayer.

Market prices or store data? For market prices on any card, use a card-data provider or tcgmcp, which is free and needs no account. This list is not for that. For your own store data (your listings, your orders, your pricing rules), keep reading.

1. TCGplayer Pricing tab CSV exports

What it gives you: your live inventory as a file. Export From Live downloads everything. Export Filtered CSV downloads a slice, such as one set or condition. The same file works for bulk price and quantity changes on import. TCGplayer documents this in its help article on importing and exporting CSVs.

What it does not: update itself. You download each file by hand, and the file is only as fresh as the minute you exported it. It does not carry order or refund history.

Who it fits: sellers who need a snapshot now and then. It costs nothing. Our CSV export and import guide covers the safe workflow.

2. Seller tools that work through the portal or a browser extension

What it gives you: order capture, update-ready CSVs, and pricing rules without an API key. These tools work from the seller portal pages you already use, often through a browser extension.

What it does not: a direct data connection. SortSwift, one of these tools, says on its TCGplayer integration page that TCGplayer "does not give sellers a full write API." Each tool has its own data format, and you read your data through that tool.

Who it fits: sellers who want a ready-made workflow and do not need to pull raw data into their own sheet or script.

3. Mana Pool's seller API

What it gives you: if you also sell on Mana Pool, it has a public seller API that uses API keys. Mana Pool publishes the API reference and describes the API as in active development.

What it does not: include your TCGplayer store. It covers your Mana Pool listings and orders only.

Who it fits: sellers with a Mana Pool store who want to automate that store.

4. CardTrader's token API

What it gives you: if you also sell on CardTrader, CardTrader documents a token-based API in its API docs.

What it does not: include your TCGplayer store. It covers your CardTrader data only.

Who it fits: sellers with a CardTrader account who want to use it from code.

5. Hoard read-only API keys

We make Hoard.

What it gives you: a read-only key to your own TCGplayer store data. A key reads your live listings with quantity, listed price, and Hoard target price. It reads your orders and refunds without buyer details. It also reads your pricing rules and sync status. You create keys in Settings, and you can have up to 10, rotate them, and revoke them at any time.

After you create a key, Hoard shows a Google Sheets prompt. Paste it into ChatGPT or Claude and the assistant writes an Apps Script that pulls your inventory into a sheet. The key goes in Script Properties, never in the chat. See pull your TCGplayer inventory into Google Sheets. If you prefer a ready curl command, the setup page has that too.

Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex do not need a key. They connect to your store through the assistant connector.

What it does not: change anything, since keys are read-only. It does not return market prices, other sellers' data, or buyer details. Mana Pool store data is not included.

Who it fits: sellers who want a live copy of their TCGplayer store in a sheet, a script, or an assistant. Read the API keys page or the setup docs.

Common questions

Is the TCGplayer API closed?

TCGplayer's developer docs say it is no longer granting new API access. The page is undated.

Can I still get a TCGplayer API key as a seller?

TCGplayer's docs say it is not granting new API access. A read-only Hoard key gives you your own TCGplayer store data without a TCGplayer key.

Can an API key change my TCGplayer listings?

A Hoard API key cannot. Keys are read-only, so they read listings, orders, and pricing rules but never edit them.

Where do I get market prices for any card?

Use a card-data provider or tcgmcp, which is free and needs no account. Hoard keys only return your own store data.
