How to track TCGplayer orders, from PWE to Priority Mail

A shipped order isn't finished until it's tracked to delivery or the claim window closes, and TCGplayer's own dashboard doesn't unify that across PWE, First-Class, and tracked packages. Three small tools exist to close that gap. Here's what each one actually does, and what it costs at your order volume.

Search "how to track tcgplayer orders" or any close variant of that phrase, and the results are held by a single vendor's own resource pages. That's not a search gone wrong. It's an uncontested keyword, one vendor answering a question that has more than one honest answer. No tool-agnostic comparison of the actual options exists yet. This page is that comparison.

Tracking is a separate job from shipping

Buying a label and printing a packing slip gets an order out the door. Tracking it is a different job: watching the scan history, catching a stalled package before a buyer files a claim, and having a record ready if one is filed anyway. TCGplayer's own help docs cover pull sheets and shipping labels as disconnected topics, and neither one rolls tracking up across shipping methods into a single view. That gap is the whole reason a dedicated tracking tool exists. the TCG fulfillment software guide covers where this step sits in the rest of the chain, from pull sheet to pick to pack to label.

Three tools, three different bets

Three tools are built specifically for TCGplayer order tracking: TCGTracking, TCGHaulTracker, and PWETracker. Each one made a different bet about what a seller actually needs.

TCGTracking: a free tier that covers most of the job

TCGTracking's free tier includes unlimited IMb tracking, order management, order imports, label and packing-slip printing, an API, a barcode scanner integration, and PIP, package insurance protection, up to $50. That's a wide free tier for a niche tool. A paid "Beta Supporter" tier, $9.99 a month, unlocks lower insurance rates and switches e-postage over to EasyPost.

TCGHaulTracker: priced by order volume, no manual entry

TCGHaulTracker skips manual order entry. It ingests TCGplayer packing-slip PDFs directly, so tracking data attaches to an order the moment the slip is generated instead of after someone types it in. Pricing is tiered by monthly order count: Starter is $9 a month for 75 orders, Growth is $19 a month for 200 orders, Pro is $39 a month for 500 orders, and Shop is $79 a month for 1,500 orders. Sellers who fall between tiers or ship irregularly can buy pay-as-you-go credits instead, at $4.50 per 30 orders.

PWETracker: narrow, cheap, built for one shipping method

PWETracker doesn't try to cover every shipping method. It's built specifically for PWE visibility, the shipping method with the least native tracking data to work with in the first place. It costs $5.99 a month after a 25-shipment free trial.

Tool Starting price Built for
TCGTracking Free (Beta Supporter $9.99/mo) Full tracking across shipping methods, plus label printing and a barcode scanner integration
TCGHaulTracker $9 to $79/mo by order volume, or pay-as-you-go Automatic ingestion of TCGplayer packing slips, no manual entry
PWETracker $5.99/mo after a free trial PWE-specific tracking visibility

If you use Hoard for fulfillment, Tracked and Expedited orders don't need one of these tools for tracking to reach TCGplayer. Hoard's ShippingEasy integration checks ShippingEasy every 10 minutes for the tracking number on a bought label, and uploads it to TCGplayer automatically once you turn on the Auto-ship on TCGplayer toggle. See how the ShippingEasy push and tracking upload work and Hoard's shipping automation page.

Picking one by order volume, not by feature list

A seller doing a handful of PWE orders a week doesn't need a tool priced for volume tiers. PWETracker's flat, low monthly cost and narrow focus fits that seller better than a tool built to scale past hundreds of orders a month. A seller running hundreds of tracked packages a month needs the opposite: automatic ingestion so tracking data doesn't turn into a second data-entry job, which is what TCGHaulTracker's tiers are priced around. TCGTracking sits between the two, a free tier broad enough to cover most sellers before volume or feature needs push toward one of the other two.

What tracking data can't prove on its own

None of these tools change what the underlying scan data actually means. A movement scan on a tracking number is not the same thing as proof of delivery, and why an IMb scan isn't proof of delivery on its own covers where that distinction gets tested in a real TCGplayer dispute. Knowing where a package is isn't the same as being able to prove it arrived.

Tracking is one piece of the fulfillment stack

Tracking is one category among several a seller has to solve for, alongside picking, label printing, and packing slips. how these tracking tools compare to the rest of the fulfillment stack puts all seven of them side by side instead of looking at tracking in isolation.

When tracking data turns into a dispute

Tracking data is the input to resolving a dispute, not the dispute itself. Hoard's refund and dispute tracking ties that scan history back to the order and the buyer, so a claim doesn't require digging through a separate tracking tool to answer it. The most common version of that claim is resolving an order marked not received, which is where a seller ends up if a package stalls or a scan record doesn't hold up.

Common questions

What tools track TCGplayer orders across shipping methods?

Three: TCGTracking, TCGHaulTracker, and PWETracker. TCGplayer's own dashboard doesn't unify tracking across PWE, First-Class, and tracked packages, which is why each of these exists.

What does TCGTracking's free tier include?

Unlimited IMb tracking, order management, order imports, label and packing-slip printing, an API, a barcode scanner integration, and package insurance protection up to $50. A paid $9.99/mo Beta Supporter tier unlocks lower insurance rates and switches e-postage to EasyPost.

How much does TCGHaulTracker cost?

It's tiered by monthly order count: Starter is $9/mo for 75 orders, Growth is $19/mo for 200, Pro is $39/mo for 500, and Shop is $79/mo for 1,500. Sellers who ship irregularly can buy pay-as-you-go credits instead, at $4.50 per 30 orders.

Does tracking a package prove it was delivered?

No. A movement scan on a tracking number is not the same thing as proof of delivery. See why an IMb scan isn't proof of delivery on its own for where that distinction gets tested in a real TCGplayer dispute.

How long until tracking shows on TCGplayer?

About 10 minutes after you buy the label, once you turn on the Auto-ship on TCGplayer toggle. Hoard checks ShippingEasy on that schedule; with the toggle off (its default), tracking still reaches Hoard but you upload it to TCGplayer yourself with a one-click CSV. See how the ShippingEasy push works.

See tracking tied to the order, not a separate tab

Connect your TCGplayer store and see tracking, refunds, and disputes on the same order record instead of a separate tracking tool.
