TCGplayer Direct requirements: 4 numeric eligibility gates

To qualify for TCGplayer Direct, you need Level 4, 99.5% trailing 30-day feedback, about 3,000 eligible products, and 100 monthly sales averaging $600 a week. All four numeric gates must be true at the same time; TCGplayer also requires a domestic US location and US-based bank account unless it makes an exception.

TCGplayer publishes Direct's numeric thresholds alongside its other eligibility rules. Use the checklist below to see which threshold is holding you back, then check the separate US location and banking requirement in TCGplayer's Direct Seller Agreement.

The four numeric eligibility gates

To qualify for TCGplayer Direct, a seller account has to clear all four of the following numeric gates at the same time:

Direct is also limited to a specific set of games. Only Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! singles are eligible for Direct. Other games in a seller's catalog don't count toward the product threshold and can't be enrolled even if the seller otherwise qualifies.

If a seller hasn't reached Level 4 yet, the other three thresholds don't matter until that changes. How to reach Level 4 covers what actually moves a seller up the level ladder.

Don't confuse this with Store Your Products eligibility

TCGplayer runs a separate fulfillment program, Store Your Products (SYP), with its own and lower eligible-product threshold: around 500 products, not 3,000. Sellers researching Direct sometimes find SYP's numbers first and assume they already qualify for Direct because they clear SYP's bar. They're different programs with different thresholds. The Store Your Products (SYP) requirements page has the SYP-specific numbers; don't substitute them for the Direct thresholds above.

What changes once you're enrolled

Qualifying for Direct and enrolling in it hands specific responsibilities to TCGplayer. Per TCGplayer's own Direct FAQ, TCGplayer takes over pulling and shipping Direct orders, all customer service on those orders, resolution of disputes including condition claims and non-delivery, and feedback protection: a seller isn't held responsible for negative feedback on an order TCGplayer shipped on their behalf.

That's a real shift in what the seller is on the hook for day to day, separate from the eligibility question this page covers. Whether that shift is worth the fee is a different question from whether you qualify — see whether Direct is actually worth it once you qualify for that comparison.

The operational requirement that doesn't show up in the eligibility list

Beyond the four thresholds, Direct sellers have to restock sold Direct inventory within one business day. This isn't an enrollment gate; it's an ongoing obligation once you're in the program. A seller who's slow to relist after a sale runs the risk of stockouts on their Direct-eligible catalog, which works against the volume numbers that got them into Direct in the first place. Fast, accurate pulling is the practical bottleneck here: Hoard's pull-session workflow is built around getting sold cards off the shelf and back into a sellable state quickly enough to hit that one-business-day window.

Feedback is the gate most likely to slip

Of the four thresholds, feedback is the one that can drop after enrollment, not just before it. A single bad week of disputes can pull a 30-day feedback average under 99.5%, even for a seller who cleared it comfortably to get in. Refunds and disputes are the biggest lever on that number. reducing your refund rate to protect the 99.5% feedback threshold is the place to start if feedback is the gate you're closest to failing, rather than the one you're furthest from clearing.

Common questions

What are the four numeric requirements for TCGplayer Direct?

Level 4 seller status, 99.5% feedback over the trailing 30 days, roughly 3,000 unique Direct-eligible products, and 100-plus sales a month averaging $600 a week — all four have to be true at once. TCGplayer also requires a domestic US location and US-based bank account unless it makes an exception.

Which games qualify for TCGplayer Direct?

Only Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! singles. Other games in a seller's catalog don't count toward the product threshold and can't be enrolled even if the seller otherwise qualifies.

Can I lose Direct eligibility after enrolling?

Yes, on the feedback gate specifically. The 99.5% threshold is a rolling 30-day window, so a bad stretch of disputes can pull a seller back under it even after they've already enrolled.

Is Store Your Products the same eligibility bar as Direct?

No, SYP's product threshold is lower — around 500 rather than roughly 3,000 — but SYP is a separate program layered on top of base Direct, not a substitute for it.
