By-hand intake time is TCG Sync's 30-second benchmark. Hoard's 3.9 seconds is measured review time per scanned card across 2,137 reviews by two stores in September 2026, not counting time at the scanner. Pull times are one store's One Piece orders from the visual pull case study, with a seller-reported baseline; the median across five stores is 75.65 seconds.

Job 1: Identify cards from scanner photos

TCGplayer's mobile app scans one card at a time. Its Scan & Identify tool imports card images in batches for Level 4 and Pro sellers, for Magic, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and Lorcana. The TCGplayer scanner guide covers both.

In Hoard, go to Add Inventory, choose Import scans, and pick a folder of photos, such as flatbed scans. Set the game and a default condition, finish, and language. Hoard finds each card in each photo and suggests matches from the catalog. Nothing enters your inventory until you accept a match.

For Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Dragon Ball Fusion World, you can accept all likely matches in one click. For the other games, you confirm each card. Scan matching covers Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon (English and Japanese), One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Fusion World, Gundam, Riftbound, Lorcana, and Digimon. Games other than Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Fusion World need the Hoard Desktop app running to process the folder.

Hoard does not read condition from the photo. Foil and non-foil versions and other printings with the same art often need a manual check.

Job 2: Price new stock as it arrives

Hoard prices new cards with your existing pricing rules as soon as they reach staging. If you have no rules yet, start with the Stay Competitive template, which does not lower prices on its own. See price floors and ceilings for setting limits.

Job 3: List cards on TCGplayer

TCGplayer's CSV import is available at Level 4: 51 orders past their expected delivery date and at least 90% positive feedback. See TCGplayer seller levels.

When you publish cards in Hoard, the Hoard The agent uploads them through that CSV import on its next run. The agent uses a Chrome window on your computer that you sign in to TCGplayer yourself. If the computer is off, changes wait until it is back on. A card without a matching TCGplayer SKU for its condition, finish, and language stays in staging.

Job 4: Keep prices current after listing

Without software, sellers edit and re-upload a CSV or run MassPrice rules through TCGplayer Pro. One seller with about 10,000 listings described doing CSV updates as often as possible, plus manual edits every day.

Hoard reprices on a schedule through the same desktop agent, with these checks:

See the repricing guide for rules, and watch-only mode and rollback to preview changes before they go live.

Job 5: Pull sold cards from the shelf

A printed pull sheet lists what sold. The picker still has to find each card, check printing and condition, and keep it with the right order. The TCGplayer pull sheet guide covers the native printout.

Hoard's pull sessions print a cover sheet with a QR code for each game and shipping class. The picker scans one with a phone or tablet and works through the orders, with each card's photo, set, finish, condition, and quantity on screen. Tracked and plain white envelope (PWE) orders are separate queues.

Job 6: Pack and ship

Hoard does not sell postage. It sends tracked orders to a connected ShippingEasy account, or exports a CSV for Pirate Ship, with an estimated package weight for singles orders. See the shipping-label guide and PWE vs tracked vs BMWT.

What we measured in production

From Hoard's records as of Sep 27, 2026:

MeasureResultData behind it
Median time to pull one order75.65 seconds26,691 orders, five stores, May to September 2026
Median time to pull one card28.95 seconds77,515 cards, same orders
Active review time per scanned card3.9 seconds2,137 reviews, two stores, September 2026
Scanned cards where the seller kept Hoard's first suggestion84.7%2,236 cards, two stores, September 2026
Card price and listing updates uploaded to TCGplayer365,538Five stores, June to September 2026

On controlled test sets, Hoard's matcher picked the right card first for 175 of 175 Yu-Gi-Oh scans, 97% of 401 Magic scans, and 92.8% of 361 Dragon Ball Fusion World scans.

One $3M-a-year TCGplayer store cut its One Piece pulls from 210 to 75 seconds per order after moving to Hoard, and the same five-person team handled 40% more orders. The result is from one store; see the visual pull case study.

Common questions

Can I automate my TCGplayer store?

Most of it. Software can identify scanned cards, price them, upload listings and price changes, and organize pulling. You still set condition, confirm uncertain matches, pack, and buy postage. Automated listing requires TCGplayer Level 4.

How do I list cards on TCGplayer faster?

At Level 4, TCGplayer's CSV import lets you upload many listings at once. Hoard builds and uploads that CSV from your scanned cards. See TCGplayer seller levels.

Does Hoard use the TCGplayer API?

No. The Hoard Desktop agent uploads through TCGplayer's own CSV import, in a Chrome window you sign in to. Changes go out while the agent is running.

What does Hoard need from me to list scanned cards?

A folder of card photos, the game, and a default condition, finish, and language. You confirm matches and publish. The desktop agent lists them on its next upload.

How long does it take to pull a TCGplayer order?

It depends on order size and shelf layout. Across 26,691 orders pulled with Hoard by five stores, the median was 75.65 seconds. See the pull sheet guide.

Does Hoard work for Pokémon, One Piece, and Lorcana?

Yes. Scan matching covers all three, plus Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball, Gundam, Riftbound, and Digimon. For Pokémon, you confirm each match.
