Card shop tools differ on three staff questions: does each employee get a login, what can each one touch, and can you see who did what. This page compares ten tools on those points and on multiple locations.
Prices are from each vendor's public pages as of October 2026. "Not listed" means the vendor's public pages do not say.

Pro sellers add sub-users with custom roles that allow or hide areas of the Seller Portal, including the Pull Sheet and Packing Slips. Two audit reports show who changed settings and prices. Scan and Identify ignores these roles. The setup details are in how TCGplayer handles multiple users.
Binder includes individual user profiles, and Binder Pro adds more users. The product page does not describe roles, activity tracking, or locations. New sign-ups are paused, so confirm availability first.
You can restrict staff from functions such as editing products. Multi-store support shares one catalog, tracks inventory per location, and handles transfers. It fits a shop with a register at each location.
SortSwift includes unlimited staff accounts. You can restrict buy mode, returns, and other sensitive features per account, and it records who opened and closed each till. The POS costs $49.99 a month per store location.
You invite staff by email and tick permission boxes for areas such as Billing, Buylist, and Scan, depending on your tier. If you have several locations, you assign each employee to one.
An administrator creates users under Account, then Users. New users start with limited privileges and an administrator can raise them. The help pages describe only these two levels.
ShipStation includes 3, 10, or 15 users depending on the plan, with permissions set per user. It does not read TCGplayer pull lists, so it covers labels and not picking.
Pirate Ship has no user limit, and every added user gets the same access as the owner. That includes inviting more users and deleting payment methods, so only add people you trust.
You need a plan with an additional user before you can add one. The owner then toggles what each person can do, such as editing stock or buying postage.
Hoard is for TCGplayer sellers with employees who want more orders handled per person and fewer refunds, with tools that are quick to teach. Employee logins are included on the Diamond plan at $299 a month, with no per-seat charge.
There are two roles. The Owner invites people from Settings, then Team, and sees everything. Staff can scan, use Quick Add, shelve, publish their own stock, and pull. They cannot open pricing, settings, billing, orders, or the dashboard. Each person signs in with their own email and password, a magic link, Google, or Discord. Staff work in Hoard, so they never need your TCGplayer password. Disabling someone signs them out on their next request. Setup is in the Team docs and the invite walkthrough.
Owners see who did what in a Team volume report of cards added per person over 7, 30, or 90 days, a Hoard intake history on each card, and a Pull times report. The guide to tracking which employee added inventory covers each one. An opt-in pull recap email goes to the person who ran the pull, with the owner copied. The pull sheet asks "Who's pulling?" and records the puller when someone taps Mark done. The Pull times report covers 7, 30, or 90 days on every plan, with each puller next to the store average for the same game and type. Tap a name to see how that person's pace changes week to week. Team volume adds orders, cards, and average time per order for each person.
Pull sheets open on a phone or tablet from a QR code and show a picture of every card, so a new hire needs no app or login. In one case study, a $3M-a-year store with the same five-person back-of-house team saw order volume rise 40% over two months. Its One Piece pulls dropped from about 3.5 minutes to 75 seconds per order, and refund complaints fell about 40%. That is one store. See Pull Sessions.
Hoard has limits. One account is one store, so there is no shared inventory across locations. A person who works at several stores can belong to each and use Switch store. There are only two roles, and Google and Discord are the only third-party sign-ins. Hoard does not link a refund or mis-pick to the person who pulled the order, and timing is per game queue, not per order.
One TCGplayer store with a few packers and pullers can start with TCGplayer Pro roles or Hoard. A shop with a register at each of several locations should look at ShadowPOS, Storepass, or SortSwift. A shop that only needs labels bought by several people can use ShipStation. For picking mistakes, read mis-pick prevention and the TCGplayer pull sheet. Wrong cards also become refunds. For employees in one TCGplayer account, read running a TCGplayer store with employees.
ShadowPOS, Storepass, and SortSwift fit stores with registers at several locations. TCGplayer Pro and Hoard fit single-store TCGplayer sellers who need staff logins for inventory and pulling.
ShadowPOS shares a catalog with per-location inventory and transfers. SortSwift tracks stock by store and prices its POS per location, and Storepass assigns each employee to a location. Hoard does not: one account is one store.
Yes, in most of these tools. TCGplayer Pro uses custom roles, ShadowPOS restricts functions, and Storepass uses permission checkboxes. Hoard staff cannot open pricing, settings, billing, orders, or the dashboard.
Employee logins are included on Diamond at $299 a month. There is no per-seat charge.
Yes, for each game. Pullers tap their name on the pull sheet, and the Pull times report shows each person's time per card next to the store average. Tap a name to see how their pace changes over time. Hoard does not tie a refund to the puller. See how to track which employee added inventory.
No. Hoard handles pulling and inventory, and you keep your own postage account for labels.
